Astros Minor League Playoff Recap: September 12th, 2018

Another playoff game in the books. See the results below.

AAA: Fresno Grizzlies (1-1) won 10-1 (BOX SCORE)

After dropping game 1, the Grizzlies exploded in game 2. Thornton got the start and was solid allowing just 1 run over 6 innings. Fresno put up a crooked number early scoring 6 runs in the 2nd inning on a Ferguson 2 run HR, Straw RBI double, and Tucker 3 run HR. In the 4th, Mayfield added a solo HR to make it 7-1. Fresno picked up another run in the 7th on a Ferguson RBI single and 2 more in the 8th on a Mayfield RBI groundout and Reed RBI single. The bullpen was great tossing 3 scoreless innings to close it.
